Web Traffic Techniques You Can Use Right Now for 2006

As you probably know, getting web traffic to your site is one of the three most crucial components to making any money online. In Mark Joyner’s Internet Intelligence Manuscript (Volume II) he clearly explains how any web traffic (not just “targeted traffic”) can be made profitable, by mentally framing, or conditioning your visitors to become receptible to your offer.

One of the easiest ways to mentally re-frame your visitors upon entry to your site, is to walk them through a three-step process that:

A) Grabs their immediate attention with a promise of benefit
B) Pre-Qualifies them before they get to your sales letter
C) Follows up with them over time with new content and reminders of your offer

Keep in mind, web traffic is just one component of the three required to sustain sales.

The other two are:

1. Testing new advertising campaigns and ad copy
2. Tracking and keeping records of your results from each campaign

Here’s an example case study of the three-step process…

On December 16th 2005, my book “The Instant Traffic Formula 2006″ was released to teach internet entreprenuers how to create, attract and monetize responsive web traffic to any web site or affiliate program. As of today, my web site, which uses the exact techniques taught in the book is averaging a 64.86% visitor-to-lead conversion, and an average sales conversion ranging from 4.69% up to 11.36% all-around from the redirect, which is currently netting me just over $1.48 per unique visitor to my site.

Again, these statistics do not take follow-ups into account. These are “straight-out-of-the-gate” type sales that occur within minutes of my visitors signing up to read my sales letter.

And you can do this too.

I follow a simple formula to create web traffic, qualified leads, responsive subscribers, loyal customers and even active affiliates who promote anything and everything I sell online.

You can sum up the entire formula into the three major components I mentioned above, and create a fail-proof success system for your products, services and affiliate programs. After you’ve activated the formula, the best way to keep the momentum of traffic, leads and sales coming in on a consistent and even predictable basis, is in three words…

What those three words are, and how to use them by combining eight other powerful elements is carefully documented inside my book. But here’s the process I used personally on my site:

1. My visitor is directed through a tracking link (or affiliate link) to a lead capture page called a “Name Squeeze” where prospects give their contact information in order to get details of my report.

2. Upon submitting their contact information, they are immediately directed to my sales page for the details, and offer for the Instant Traffic Formula Scientific Marketing Report.

3. My follow-up autoresponder system immediately sends them an email reminding them of my offer, giving a few testimonials of the report and sends them a link to check it out at another time. A few days later, they receive reminders of my offer, more quality feedback of my report, new articles and content about getting web traffic, and again – links back to my sales letter.

The lead capture page serves to “pre-qualify” visitors who actually want to read my sales letter to find out more about my offer. I’ve heard a lot of people claim many visitors (and sales) can be lost by forcing your prospects to “do something” before they get to your offer — but my direct experimentation and results show the majority (64.86%) of visitors who hit my site, sign up.

Once my visitors sign up, they become leads and are set into my autoresponder system to receive consistent follow-ups until they buy, or unsubscribe.

Thankfully, the autoresponder service I use allows me to easily direct my new subscribers to a custom “Thank You” page. Most web marketers still use the “default” thank you page and their subscribers are returned to a “thanks for subscribing – now close the window” type message. Useless.

My thank you page re-directs to a tested sales letter that continues the mental conditioning process by giving in-direct answers to questions that were created in the mind of my prospects upon reading, and signing up from my Name Squeeze.

Now that my three elements are together, I combine them with “CII” or the three most powerful words in all of marketing, and achieve phenomenal and consistent results over time.

Using just this part of the formula alone, can cause a massive shift in your bottom line. However, when the complete formula is both discovered and activated, you’ll have a direct funnel to bring money “out of thin air” to you whenever you like, and for whatever you want.

Do this. Think of something you’d like to have.

Anything. It can be anything. Don’t limit yourself.

A new car, a new house, a nice expensive necklace for a loved one — anything.

Now put a price on it.

That’s your goal. Your intention.

Write it down.

Next, get out a calculator and punch in the price of what you want.

Divide that number by the price for whatever item you want to sell.

Round up to the nearest whole number, and you’ve got a definite number.

This number equals the amount of sales you’ll need to get your wish.

Now use the formula described in this article, and funnel the correct amount of sales into your business, by getting the traffic, pre-qualifying them, and going for the sale using CII to guide you along every step of the way — until you reach your desired number of sales.

Once the sales you’ve accumulated equal your desired amount, you get your wish.

Try it for yourself and see the power in this technique to create anything you want.

Above all, stay focused… keep the momentum… and enjoy your prosperity in the new year!

How to Increase Web Site Traffic With Linking Partners

Is your web site not getting as much traffic as you’d like? One good way to increase traffic is with linking partners.

The question, of course, is how do you do this?

First, learn to network. Get to know people on line. Spend time every week emailing back and forth with people who are in the Internet business. Compare notes. Find out what’s working and not working for them. Ask about their link mates. Create some alliances. Offer to exchange links.

Second, you will need to find web sites where you can become possible link mates. This is actually pretty easy. Just go to a good search engine such as Google and type in words that complement but do not compete with your products or services. For example, if your site sells flower and vegetable seeds, you might search on a term such as garden tools.

As you search on your keywords, make sure you keep a list of those sites that are receiving the highest traffic.

NOTE: You can check the popularity of each keyword with the Yahoo Keyword Selector tool (http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/). Just type in each keyword and the tool will show you how many people searched using that keyword the past month. Again, make sure you’re choosing those sites.

Once you have identified those sites with the most traffic, do a WHOIS search (/www.allwhois.com/) to see who’s behind the site. Then give that person a call. That’s right. Call him or her. Introduce yourself. Don’t make it all about you. Ask questions about their site. When it’s your turn, describe your site and your successes. Then try to set up a win-win situation. For example, you might offer a premium position on your site in exchange for a small listing on his or her site.

Will you always get a “yes?” You won’t. But you will get enough link mates to make the effort worthwhile and to increase your traffic.

Targeted Traffic – How Will You Achieve It?

Wouldn’t it be great if your website was listed on the first page when your potential customers look for what you sell?

What if you had the very top position when they typed “your product category” into MSN, Yahoo or Google?

If you’ve had your website up for even one week, you’ve realized that getting to the top of the search engines is no easy task. The competition is fierce, isn’t it? And you have to constantly keep up with the search engine rules and regulations to keep your listing.

Don’t get us wrong. Search Engine Optimization is a key to our strategy and should be for you, too.

(We’ve seen some internet “gurus” out there that teach that you don’t need to submit to the search engines anymore because of “pay-per-click” engines. We couldn’t disagree more & recommend you stay away from such advice!)

But getting to the top of the free listings can take months. What do you do if you need to start making money now?

USE “PAY-PER-CLICK” ADVERTISING!

We feel there has never been a greater way for the “little guy” to compete with the “big guys”. It doesn’t matter what industry or niche you are in. Or what product or service you are offering.

Yes, you do have to put out a little cash. But for as little as $.05 to $.10, you can do what every website owner is desperately trying to figure out.

Have you ever heard the saying, “Build it & they will come?” In the brick and mortar world, this may work. But if that is your internet marketing strategy – You need to adjust what you’re doing now!

As a website owner, you need to find ways to have your customers find you. You must learn to drive traffic to your site.

Not just any traffic, TARGETED TRAFFIC. If you sell cars, you don’t want someone looking for flowers to visit your site. You want the person looking to buy a car now, right?

OK, how does this Pay-Per-Click thing work?

You bid on a specific “keyword” or keyword phrase that a customer would type into a search engine to find your product or service. As mentioned earlier, you could bid as low as $.05 or $.10 at places like Overture or Google. So if someone likes the ad you have listed, clicks your ad and is linked to your site, you only pay your $.10 or $.25 or $.50 – whatever you bid, you only pay if they actually click YOUR ad and go to YOUR website!

You have control of that ad. So you make it loaded with info that would cause only someone interested in what you have to offer to actually click. You must get inside your prospect’s head and figure out “What does this person really want?”

- (Ad copy is an art in and of itself – We’ll need to postpone discussing that subject for a later time)

Once that person arrives at your site, it’s up to you to make sure your site really “sings” and compels your prospect to sign up for your mailing list, buy or whatever it is you want them to do.

But do you see the beauty of all this? You find out what keywords your prospects are looking up, you bid on those keywords and Bam! – YOUR AD APPEARS AT THE TOP OF MSN, YAHOO, GOOGLE, etc.

These are qualified prospects! People interested in buying only what you have to offer. Never before in history has it been possible for a business owner to start a business, place an ad and get QUALIFIED buyers so quickly; at such a minimal cost to the owner!

Imagine it costing you $.25 or $.50 to attract a prospect to your site. Let’s say you offer a product selling for $75. How often would you like to give us $.25 every time we gave you $75? Can you see how quickly you can have a thriving internet business up & running?

We recommend starting at pay-per-click engines like www.Overture.com, www.Findwhat.com and Google adwords. It would be wise to go there and review their guidelines and how they operate.

If you invest the time necessary to master this subject and add it as another “spoke” to your advertising “wheel”, you will see not only a huge surge in your website traffic, but your profits as well.

And, ultimately, that’s what you’re really after, isn’t it?

Getting your Visitor’s Details Using PHP

You can get quite a bit of information about your visitors
without having to use a third party tracking software. I’ll
outline the PHP commands you can use to capture some of this
data. The details you capture can be saved into a database, and
retrieved later to check your site’s performance and user
details. The following information is captured using the server
variable ($_SERVER) which is available from PHP 4.10 onwards.

Visitor’s IP address :

You can get the visitor’s IP address using the following
command:

cellpadding="0">
<? $ip =
$_SERVER['HTTP_CLIENT_IP']; ?>

This will give you the vistor’s IP address. You can use this
along with an ip to country converter database to see from which
country your visitors are come in from. You can head over to http://ip-to-country
.webhosting.info/ for one such script.

You can use PHP to resolve the ip address to a domain name to
get the visitor’s ISP in most cases. The ISP’s domain will show
up if PHP is able to resolve the IP to a proper domain. You can
do this as follows.

cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<?

$ip = $_SERVER['HTTP_CLIENT_IP'];

$visitor_host = @getHostByAddr( $ip );

?>

Note : On some servers, using getHostByAddr to resolve domains
may cause the script to slow down.

Referring Page :

You can capture the referring page, which will give you an
indication of which site is sending traffic to you.

width="100%" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<? $referrer_page = $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']; ?>

This will give you the entire URL from which the visitor came to
your site. For example if the visitor came from a google search
for "i-pod", the referrer url would look something
like this :

http://www.google.co.in/search?q=i-pod&hl=en&lr=&ie=U
TF-8&start=50

If you don’t want the entire URL captured, but just the domain
name stored into the database, you can strip the rest of the URL
and save it to the database like so:

border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<?

$referrer_page =

parse_url(htmlspecialchars(strip_tags($_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'])))
;

?>

This will save the referring page as :

http://www.google.co.in/

The page being Accessed :

You can also capture the page being accessed on your server.
This information will help you evaluate which parts of your site
is getting more page views.

A more advanced user can also use this information to create a
click-stream of the user. A click-stream is the path that a user
follows while he goes through your site. This lets you see how
effective your site’s navigation is.

border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<?
$requested_page = $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; ?>

If the visitor is accessing your page,
http://www.yourdomain.com/guestbook.php, the requested page
would be ‘guestbook.php’.

These pieces of information will help you build a visitor
tracker in PHP, which will be able to tell you quite a bit about
your visitors and how they use your site.
